We tried everything to make the skeg operable with one hand. It was a no-go in the end so this was the only option.

Excellent write-up! I am sure that Laura is thrilled, as that isn't an easy project in a confined space!

That'll come in handy when I get around to doing the same thing for Gayla's Ellesmere.

Did you order the parts directly from Kajaksport or get them through someone else?

Fortunately I'll have my Millennium to compare to when I do it.

I contacted Kajaksport directly. All the info is on their website: Kayaksport contact info

They were very helpful. There was an omision in my order of a couple of retaining clips for the skeg control unit; they apologised and sent by express the next day.

Be mindful of the time difference between here and Finland if you call...
