There are several companies that make fuel cells that recharge cell phone and/or 1.5V (AAA, AA, etc.) cells. A few names are Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies, Medix Technologies, and Jadoo Power. Prices are in the $30 range with replacable fuel cells.

I use and have had great success with Powerfilm (www.powerfilmsolar.com) flexible waterproof solar panel. I use it to charge my IPOD, cell and AA's.
