HOW TO... Charts

For those who may not have but would like to look at charts of the area around Odiorne before Sunday's trip, I've put up a few sections of the marine chart for that area. All are PDF files and will print on 8.5" X 11" paper (use highest quality setting on your printer).

Even if you choose not to look at the charts before the paddle (IMHO folks should review them beforehand), you may find it educational to look at the charts after the paddle. As in developing an understanding of what charts can tell you by having observations to compare with the chart's info. Then you are on your way to using charts for trip planning in the future.

As an example of what can be learned from charts for trip planning: What types of information might be gleaned from the behavior of green buoy number 5 at the mouth of Little Harbor?
