bob budd Posted September 16, 2007 Share Posted September 16, 2007 Last Saturday AM I saw a familiar face peaking out from under a helmet as a well known paddler travelled the streets of Beverly. The light turned green and off he went - most likely he was on his way to work. This afternoon I saw a great blue heron in the muck at Virginia Woods (Middlesex Fells - Stoneham, etc. Mass). Got to watch the heron pick about the reeds and seemingly find nothing there of interest. Such a big bird to fly away without a noise.
