Will be arriving in my rec hut as it is the only way I have to move my kayak down the road! maryb
bob budd
Tuck's Point is available more or less through the good graces of the town of Manchester. Its a "country club" that allows us to park there in small groups, there's no formal arrangement, we show up and don't make too much of an impact. Most of the people there are more than happy to let us launch. I often have conversations with someone who is thinking of taking up kayaking, etc. At this time of year there are often barbecues in the pavilion even though the crowds have diminshed from the summer. Gcosloy
Small Craft Advisory in effect through Sunday afternoon. NW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt... becoming N 5 to 10 kt around noon...then becoming E late. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Will check again in morning, however conditions appear to rule out Level 2. If conditions hold even a shortened trip will require Level 3 skills. I'll post again early tomorrow!

Take a look at: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ndfd/graphical/sec...oxMarineDay.php Around the proposed area, those maps indicate more benign conditions. The coastal conditions in Salem Sound do look more benign. Based on this it looks like winds and wave heights will be about half of what the Marine Forecast is currently. The trip is on!!
