Guest guest
I know most of the NSPN paddlers enjoy the ocean, but the local rivers like the Charles, Mystic, and Concord/Sudbury/Assabet are all open and running with lots of water. Protected waterways are great for winter paddling, with no crowds and lots of wildlife (the bald eagle on Mystic lake is spectacular). Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather. Guest guest
How true, but the downside is paddling for hours without seeing anybody...
stnoonan
Sounds good to me Pam; when do you want to go?!?
Guest guest
Who says "you don't see anyone"? We had two double canoes and four single kayaks go out on the Sudbury and Assabet rivers last Saturday at 11am, Rob Flanagan and I did about 20 miles in four hours. One highlight was watching the deer swim across the river ahead of us. Al Pierce was also out on the river, putting in the miles. I'll keep posting future river gatherings.
