EEL
It seemed a lovely day as we walked the Mals this morning, we were not too stiff from the pool session, and it had been too long out of the ocean. Forecast was on edge for appropriate timidity, but we thought we will just see how it looks in Portsmouth and go to KTP if not to our liking. Turned out the skies were sunny with mare's tales hinting at the approaching front with the wind and sea benign. Perfect 4 dot paddling. So Gail and I cruised out of the harbor and up the coast along Gerrish just meandering among rocks and taking it easy for nearly three hours. Nice day despite some lost gelcoat with delightful surprises like turning a corner and finding a hauled out seal staring at us. The clouds from the southwest caused a mellow early twilight as we came back to land at 5:30. All in all, too nice a day for the boats to stay dry.
