tvcrider Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 I pilfered this out of p.net. It was actually addressed to Mr. Nystrom. Poster could have selected a better description for the subject matter. Sorry Brian if I "opened your mail" before you did ; - ) http://www.paddling.net/message/showThread...vice&tid=139787 Joe Galloway "The older I get, the better I was." Quote
Brian Nystrom Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 They still don't have a price for the booties separately, but judging by the difference between their installed latex price and what the booties cost separately, they'll probably be $70-80. Seems a bit steep. Quote
guido Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Kokatat just quoted $130 for goretex sock replacement of current latex. "The goretex sox are sewn and taped in place, not just cemented like the latex. This includes parts and labor." I cringed for a minute and then did it because I hate to constantly worry about the latex booties. I'll tell you in about two weeks how it went.Guy Quote
Guest guest Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Guy:$130 for dry feet in the winter? Hmmmmm...Is that what Kokotat is quoting for turnaround time? Two weeks?I hate to part with my suit this time of year, but if it's really that quick, maybe....Scott Quote
Brian Nystrom Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 FWIW, you can do latex booties in a couple of hours or less. Cost is under $40 and it's easy to do. Quote
guido Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Thanks for the offer Brian. But I have gone through two sets of latex sox despite a nearly infinite amount of care, babying and really light use. It will be nice to have sox as tough as the rest of the suit that with moderate care should actually last a while.Guy Quote
