jason
On June 29th at 3:30 am, Westport Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures was set on fire by arsonists. Although the Fire Department arrived quickly and managed to save the buildings infrastructure, the boats that were stored behind the building sustained irrevocable damage. OSKA lost 52 boats due to the fire, and we soon realized that insurance would not cover the loss. As a result, friends and family of the business have come together to organize an event to benefit the business and keep it floating. We would like to invite you to join us on August 12th for: The Roll Up and Rebuild Barbeque Sunday August 12th starting at 5pm at the Head of Westport Town Landing behind Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures Barbeque by Smoke n' Pickles Live music performed by Zuma featuring a raffle and silent auction with such amazing prizes as: A brand new kayak Celtics tickets paddling gear artwork gift certificates to local restaurants and much much more! Tickets are $25 for adults or $5 for children under 10 years old Stop by the kayak shop 489 Old County Road, Westport, MA 02790 or call (508) 636 0300 for more information or to purchase tickets If you are unable to attend, but would still like to help out, checks can be made payable to "Refloat Osprey Fund" the poster for the event is attached. We hope to see you and your family on the 12th for some fun and to help support a local small business and its owners Carl & Samantha Ladd, -- friends and family of Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures

Rob Hazard
Is anyone going down early for a paddle before the party? Rob Explorer - white
Phil Allen
Lorrie and I were planning on going to the party and paddling before hand, but the teenager has come down with a nasty cold so our plans are a little up in the air. I would like to get down to enjoy the day and support Carl. If someone organizes a paddle, please let me know. Phil
