shewhorn
Does anyone have a resource that lists beach closings in MA, RI, and NH? A Google search (as seems to be more common now) revealed nothing terribly useful. Cheers, Joe
Kevin B (RPS Coach)
Joe, I've never found anything useful, but perhaps you'll have more luck. They usually test every week at the town level (perhaps state level too?) and they don't seem very conscientious about updating results online. djlewis
Dunno know about RI & NH, but MA is here... > Beach Water Quality > DCR Beaches Hotline: 617-626-4972 (DCR = Department of Conservation and Recreation) http://www.mass.gov/dcr/waterQuality.htm Also, there is weekly information here, though it's a bit of a pain to dig out... http://mass.digitalhealthdepartment.com/pu..._21/beaches.cfm Bottom line -- the flags at the beaches are the last word. I know, you gotta go down to the beach to see the flag. But sometimes you can find the number at the beach, usually a cell phone held by a lifeguard. --David.
