Anyone ever used Traip Academy Boat Launch in Kittery? The harbormaster in Kittery told me about it, said it is usable at low tide, and there is LOTS of free parking. The only restriction is not parking there midweek school days. Very open and available weekends and summers. Nice alternative to Pierce Island, maybe.

It is at 12 Williams Ave Kittery, just across from the Naval Yard.

Used it many times....the max ebb and flood really move in the back channel. Fun or fear depending on your experience.

Park your car up on the pavement to leave room for the locals..
