Jim Snyder
The tide was perfect for a circumnavigation of New Castle. We were Prudence Baxter, Sandy Blanchard, David Mercer, Michael Hazeltine, William Doucet, and myself. It was a beautiful spring day with puffy clouds and a mild offshore breeze. The 2-3' swell was enough to cause some mayhem in the reefs outside Jaffrey Point. We stayed a little outside. There was a nice push going up the river on the flood and we decided to go up to Pierce Island for lunch. Timing worked out great as we came around Pierce heading for the 1B bridge we picked up a little ebb current and a tail wind as well. If you were "looking for trouble" this was not the trip but a pleasant day on the water it was. Track_5-6-23-94944AM.kmz
