Although the wind and swell were coming from the SE (at right angles to the harbor mouth), waves wrapped in very heavily on the more exposed north side of town. Front St near Fort Sewall (this house stayed completely dry inside according to the guy who maintains it): Gas House Lane: Little Harbor.
