Walden Pond?

Does anybody know how late the boat ramp is being kept open at Walden Pond?

I am hoping to start get some time on the water after work. :-)

In summer they close it at 7:30 PM. But that's out-of-the-lot time. At about 7:00 a ranger drives up and shouts at everyone through a bullhorn to start packing up and get out.

Thanks for the link I called and they are closing it at 7:30 PM.

Durring the fall the closing time kept on moving earlier until there was no point in heading over after work.

The closing time is more or less timed to sunset, so it varies by the season. I think it is 8/8:30 PM in June/July. The closing time is usually posted on the gate of the main parking lot (not the boat ramp lot).

As David indicates, the pond is closed a half hour before the gates to the parking lots are closed.

Nope... unless they've changed it recently (in the last year) it's never later than 7:30. And that ranger with the bullhorn is really pretty... ummm... unpleasant about it.

I just called and they said that the water temp is in the mid 50's.
