Dan Foster Posted September 28, 2021 Share Posted September 28, 2021 In college, I floated several miles down the Connecticut River on a slowly-sinking truck inner tube, before "upgrading" to a more buoyant model at a beer-and-music stop halfway through the day. The morning of Tubestock I realized that my inner tube had a hole, and I plugged it as best I could by inserting a super-bouncy ball into the tip of a condom, shoving the ball through the hole in the tube, and tying off and twisting a pencil to create a tourniquet to seal the hole from within. If I'd had a tube of Aquaseal or any sort of adhesive, I think it would have achieved the 98% effectiveness advertised on the wrapper.
