I've never heard of this place, yet I've never kayaked in Maine either, so I just looked it up.  The water in Maine is cold... brr!  If I do kayak in Maine though, I'll keep this in mind. Looking at Google Maps, Stonington looks like a real awesome place to kayak and camp.
