Visiting Boston May 5th and looking for paddling opportunities

Hello,

I am a paddler from the SF Bay area (BASK member) and I will be in Boston on May 5th for my son's graduation. I would love to paddle in the Boston area, hopefully with like-minded people. I could bring some gear (PFD, radio, helmet, tow rope, paddle maybe), but I will have to rent or borrow a boat. I am comfortable in open and dynamic waters, I can rescue/self-rescue, and I can go on long paddles at a fast pace (done multi days self-supported and open water trips). If I rent I will be limited to the rental's area since I do not have a way to carry the boat. I would be immensely grateful for any information that would allow me to experience your waters, possibly with local paddlers!

I won't  be able to paddle that day but I have to tell you that that is one awesome picture of you with great color combination of helmet-drysuit-boat and the beautiful San Francisco skyline and the seal in the background!

Hi Franca,

Surely it is too early to plan for a Friday in May but I would imagine if you visit back here again in April and revisit this, you will have some takers.  I would recommend bringing your drysuit for the paddle as our waters are cold in May.

Best,

Suz
