billvoss Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Some paddlers are planning to meet at Walden this Wednesday arriving at 3:30pm for rolling, rescues, etc. Everyone is welcome. I'm not sure yet if I personally will be there, I'm recovering from a sprained wrist. I believe the boat ramp gate is now closing at 7pm, which pretty much means off the water by 6:30pm. Though there is a good chance the 3:30pm group won't last quite that long.
Dan Foster Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 If at least one other person posts that they are going, I will be there working on speedy rescues from 3:30 til 6.
prudenceb Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Unless it's pouring rain, I'll be there at 3:30. Glad to work on swift rescues both ways (swimmer and rescuer) with you, Dan. I'd like to work also on boat catching to facilitate quick rescues. And of course it will be necessary to spend a bit of time upside down. Bill, hope your wrist is healing quickly!
billvoss Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 The kayak is back on the car roof. I should be there around 3:30 today.
Yong S Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I plan to to at Walden to (RE)practice self-rescue with my Explorer. I am looking at 4:30 eta though. Get better Bill.
Yong S Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Well, I guess I will tell you to get better in person, Bill.
Yong S Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 won't need help unloading my kayak; so please don't wait around to help me. however, I will gladly accept help in loading it back after the session.
