Phil Allen
It's getting cold and of course I put a small hole in the boat. Does anybody know the working temperature range of plumbers putty? While we're here, how about other resins and gel-coat?bestPhil
jason
I haven't had much luck with gel coat under 50F. Under 50F, it becomes an inside project. I have basement space and will help, if you are up for a trip north.
Philip Anderson
The MAS Epoxy I used isn't good below 45°f,below about 60°you run into some long cure times.
Paul Sylvester
50 degrees sustained for the cure time is the minimum for some resins I work with. Not sure about the epoxy sticks. Best for temp repair IMO.Just build a tent and set a halogen light in it. I just did this in my garage because I did not want to heat the whole garage.
