This forum allows members to borrow equipment, gear, books, and other items from other members

  1. The Lending Library / Stuff to Borrow forum is a place where you can take advantage of the "second N" in NSPN - the Network of paddlers in your area that might have gear you'd like to test drive, tools you might need to make a repair, or skills or local knowledge you could benefit from. Hi all, I'm a new NSPN member, heading out for a short trip to Boston Harbor with a couple other long-time NSPN boaters and trip leaders. I am bringing a friend who needs to borrow a traditional 17 foot sea kayak, like a Tempest 17 or my Implex Force. My friend I'm guessing is a level 2+ paddler, has paddled my boat with no problems, but has mostly done fresh-water paddling (handled Eagle Lake in Acadia in fog and fierce wind like a champ). The trip is Saturday morning Aug 24. Can anyone help us out? Perhaps join us, too? Thanks!!

Skills and Services (send me a PM): 1. Willing to offer private zoom sessions related to water/land navigation. Can also offer step-by-step tutorial for making custom charts, if you are having trouble: 2. Advice for kayaking in Maine, including camping and launch sites. BTW, with the fleet of boats that many NSPNers have, this is a great forum to list some of your kayaks to loan out, among other gear. gary
