If you're scheduled for pool sessions at the Portsmouth YMCA this season and would like help in learning to roll send me a PM or email and the dates you're registered. I've been helping people learn the sweep roll and the Pawlata roll for several years now. I live just 20 minutes from the Y and I'm happy to help out. This is not a commercial offering; no cost is involved.

I have kayaked for several years, and have decided it is time to learn to roll. This past Sunday, I attended a roll clinic through the NE Seacoast Kayakers at the Portsmouth Y. The clinic was taught by Cheri Perry and Turner Wilson. They had us learning in their Greenland boats, and taught the sweep roll using Greenland paddles. I was able to do a sweep roll with assistance, but not alone. I saw your post and am interested in help if you would be willing. How much notice do you need for the pool sessions? I look forward to hearing from you.
