I was there for 9 days of paddling in 2008. Here's the trip report: http://www.cathyhartland.com/Newfoundland/Newfoundland.htm
What area are you planning to visit? I'd suggest Bonavista Bay, with hikes at Terra Nova National Park. You may find lots of whales there, depending on when in July you go.

Kate: Thank you very much for sharing, what a wonderful trip you had. I am driving to North Sidney, catching a ferry to Port aux Basques, skip the east coast and drive into the Gros Morne National Park, hike a couple days and head north to LAnse aux Meadows and stop bay along the route for hikes and what else we find interesting around there. But thanks I'll look into the Terra Nova Park. we are going to be there for 5 to 6 days not much time and there is a lot of driving. We are going on the second week of July.

Hi Fellow Kayakers:
I am heading in July to Newfondland Canada, I don't have a plan yet but hiking and kayaking will be a must within the 7 days upthere. Has anyone been there? If you have please let me know of any particulars, places to kayak, etc. Thanks

Thanks Guys, I was lucky to purchase one already.

Water temperatures are currently rising. A few more weeks and a wet suit, much less expensive, and more comfortable should be adequate.
Tom
Thanks

Hello everyone:
I am in the market to purchase a used Drysuit as I am having budget constrains at this time. Wonder if anyone would have an extra one in a decent shape size L. I am missing too many nice days on the water because of it. Thanks
