The Kayak Centre of RI’s annual Kayak and SUP Demo Weekend- May 5th & 6th The Kayak Centre of Rhode Island will hold its annual Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard Demo Weekend May 5 and 6, 2012 at the Wickford Town Beach, 15 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI. The event will run from 10am-4pm both days with over 125 kayaks and stand up paddleboards available to test paddle including boats and boards from Valley Sea Kayaks, Wilderness Systems, Necky, Ocean Kayak, Hurricane, Bic, Surftech, Starboard and more. Manufacturer’s reps, along with the Kayak Centre team will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice on selecting the right kayak or board. Special Demo Weekend pricing and packages will be available throughout the event on everything in the store. Also, there is no sales tax on boats or boards purchased in Rhode Island! In addition to the Demo event, The Kayak Centre’s Consignment Sale will also be held during the weekend, for those looking to sell their unwanted or unused kayaks. Admission to the event is $5 or 5 canned food items to benefit the North Kingstown Food Pantry. This fun-filled weekend is a great way to get out on the water, try out the family-friendly sport of paddling, and test out the newest kayak and SUP models along with supporting the local North Kingstown Food Pantry.
