Join us on Saturday, June 2nd for the 1st Annual Buzzards Bay Classic, a paddleboard & kayak race at DCR Gosseberry Island State Park! There will be both a 3 mile recreational course and a 6 mile elite course for paddleboards & kayaks.

After the race there will be kayak & paddleboard demos and paddle clinics available to racers and spectators alike. The equipment demo will focus on raising awareness for paddle sports safety and our local waterways. The demos are free for racers and non - racers are asked to make a five dollar donation that will benefit the Westport Food Bank.

Demo models available from P&H, Venture, Feel Free, Surftech, Bic, Speedboard USA.

Race & Raffle prizes have been generously donated by Werner Paddles, Hyperflex, Surftech, Vest-Pac, Pyranha, MTI, Lee’s Market, The Back Eddy, Country Woolens, Partners Village Store, The Head Town Landing Country Store, Westport Bait & Tackle, Westport River Vineyards, Just Beer, Dave Juessume Art Glass, and more so, come down to the Buzzards Bay Classic to race, play, and discover kayaking & paddle boarding.
