Rob Hazard
Doug, are you certain about the time of high tide? My reading makes it more like Low tide ~ 10am. Rob

Doug
Rob, you are correct about the tide. I was looking at one week ago. I'm bad! Forget Jenness Beach. Too long of a walk to the water at low tide. New venue: RYE HARBOR slightly north of Jenness Free Parking at the north side of the harbor. Short walk to the water.... Low Tide.... 10:07am High Tide... 4:

On the drop down select "my settings" Under the profile you will see the time zone setting. You can then change your time zone, I would suggest -5 Eastern time. -Jason
jdkilroy
I assume you folks headed south rather than north from Rye Harbour. I paddled out of Portsmouth to meet up but never ran in to you as far south as Foss Beach but no other kayakers to be seen. Fun ride back to Portsmouth with a fair wind and tide. Hope you had a nice paddle. Jon

I had not considered that someone might try to meet us. We got some bump on the return trip, but it was easy paddling with the wind at our back. Rob Hazard
Gee, Cathy, I didn't hear any whining! Your suggestion to head south made good sense to me given the wind. We all discussed it at the beach briefing and decided to go with it. I got to see some new shoreline and enjoyed the boost from the tailwind on the way back. Jon, you should've come along with us! Cheers,Rob
