Paddle out the Southern "Tip of The Plum" and head north along the edge of Plum Island. Navigate into the mouth of the Merrimack River and enter the back waters of the island into the estuary. Enjoy the scenery of the sanctuary with the high tide assisting our course back to Pavillion the last 6 miles or so. Note: Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. A moderate to brisk pace will be required to keep up with the main group as we head north on the ocean side of Plum Island. Breaks will be taken as needed but there will be long stretches of shorline that are illegal to land on unless in the case of an emergency (or pee break). Timing will be critical on this paddle.
