subaruguru Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Tom H, Scott L and I put in off Shirley Point near Deer Island, through the channels, skirting Green, then rounding The Graves. A beautiful sky accompanied us, with just a hint of fall in the light breeze. We then headed for the Brewsters, lunching after a bumpy landing on the north-east side of Calf, from which there's a beautiful view. We then headed SW, skirting Lovell; across channel back to Point Shirley. A delightful day on a mostly calm sea, 12 1/2 nm. Pics, guys? Cheers. Ern Quote
Scott Lundquist Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Thanks guys, despite my last-minute arrangements to join you, it made for a terrific day on the water. Nice to check The Graves off my summer list. And with sunshine, light breezes, gentle swells, no need for a wetsuit -- I'll remember today come November when every day brings another Small Craft Advisory. Here are a few pics showing us approaching Graves Light, our landing on Calf Isl., and closing back in on Deer Island. Quote
