christopherG
idiomatic useage (example: "sir, i wish to buy your rolls royce off you! name your price..."); it's quite common -- professor brinks will doubtless confirm...

cmfos
Professor Brinks is the guy paddling around in the Armored Car with a Union Jack on it. I think Sir Christopher was referring to Professor BinksJ
ccarlson
...and, I assume that "useage" is the Brit form of "usage" ;-)

Guest guest
>Professor Brinks is the guy paddling around in the Armored >Car with a Union Jack on it.The Union Flag is only referred to as the Union Jack when flown from a ship. When displayed upon my urban attack vehicle, it is a Union Flag.Binks.P.S. Sir Godfrey, have you been drinking? Your grammar is bloody awful.P.P.S. Alex proof-read this and said it was OK. christopherG
alright, alright! so i cannot spell "usage": i apologise to all whose aesthetic sense i violated! (quite right, too). however, i am seeking the person who offered me a rescue hook , not a rescue hook...thank you all for the links. only one was for the hard scabbard (thank you, richard) and they are out-of-stock...i have one rescue hook already and shall soon have another (i have two PFDs, in case you're wondering), but would like a hard sheath for the first.apologies for the second spelling mistake, professor -- we named a racehorse brinks' job a few years ago (he was by seeking the gold): could i have been confusing you and the horse? oy!(ps: don't take me to task for "aesthetic" either -- i'm not going there!) Guest guest
>alrightThat would be "all right">apologiseThat would be "apologize".>aestheticA recognized alternate to esthetic, you're okay there.
glenn
From now on I'm going to think twice before letting Christopher hang around while I'm practicing rolls. All this talk of "scabbards" is clearly a diversionary tactic to disguise his true intention to use this so-called "rescue hook" to slice open the hull of an inverted boat in the infamous Fish-Gutting Rescue.
