PeterB
Meet at Odiorne Point for a moonlight paddle. No fixed plan but options run loosely between(most likely) staying in Little Harbor, parking and catching the moonrise from the jetty, or poking outside the jetty, and will depend on sea state, weather, and what people want to do. Bring something good to snack on . Bring lights: Waterproof white light, 2 glow sticks and a way to tether all lights.(I use zip ties, and always have lots of them with me) Bring insect repellent. Dusk at launch sites can be buggy. Low Tide is 5:42PM High tide is 11:42PM Sun sets at 7:43 PM Moon rises at 7:39 PM The weather report: possibly clear, possibly not. It looks like it might be cooler than normal, so paddling gear more autumnal (drytops, wetsuit etc) would be good. I’d like to be at the beach with boats & gear at 7PM We’ll need to have a beach briefing, maybe 1/2 an hour to sort out lights, gear, group stuff. If you’re interested , respond here or to me by email pbradyatneaq.org Since weather is iffy, it could be canceled that afternoon, or turned into a non-moonlight paddle, whatever, so those interested will need to stay in touch. Saturday Night... Partly cloudy in the evening...Then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s.
