Posted November 3, 200717 yr I've started adding to my blog explanations of NOAA chart symbols. The symbols and explanations are in the right-hand column. First several show symbols that describe coastlines, lights and fog signals, as well as the codes that describe lighthouse flash patterns and ranges. Understanding chart symbols makes charts easier to read. It also help you make better decisions on the water about where to land, etc. Link: paddlingtravelers.blogspot.com
