bob budd
...but the flare up in my shoulder on Saturday and the weather said otherwise. So Sunday afternoon I decided to look at the aftermath. There is a trustees place in Magnolia on the way along the coast. There was a bit of seaweed up on the grass but otherwise things looked pretty normal. This seaweed could also be seen strewn along the "avenue" at the Greasy Pole. Got out to the jetty and scrambled on the rocks around the light house. Still some respectable breakers to be found, the salt encrusted on the windshield when I returned offering further evidence. There were board surfers at the near end of Good Harbour and the stuff was actually pretty timid. The road to Pebble was blocked off. Glad I got on the more hospitable day, if only on foot. The colours are in abundance, including the cherry red hips on the rugosa bushes.
RogerPollock
Fairly sizable sailboat washed up on Pavillion in Gloucester this morning, mast hanging over the railing. Must have been fun to see that thing loose and blowing around the harbor . . .
