I'd initially posted Sunday... the 28th is a Saturday Saturday Saturday) I have an engagemet session on Plum Island at 3:30 conveniently meeting me at the put in parking lot so I'd like to go out on a paddle beforehand. I need to be off the water by 3:00 PM. On the water by 10:30 AM, route TBD depending upon conditions. Low tide is at 10:42 AM and high tide is at 4:16 PM. SE WINDS 25 TO 30 KT...BECOMING W 15 TO 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 KT UNTIL JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT. SEAS 8 TO 11 FT...SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 7 FT. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. VSBY 1 TO 3 NM AFTER MIDNIGHT. Unless that forecast takes some serious elephant tranquilizers... I won't be getting anywhere near Plum Island with a boat (especially the mouth of that river).
