eneumeier Posted September 3, 2005 Share Posted September 3, 2005 The parade of lights starts near the High School, goes through Blynman canal, then around the inner harbor. Since the boulevard will be crowded and launching at the Greasy pole near impossible, here is my plan: Launch from the rip rap at Rocky Neck, 7:00 PM. There is a public parking lot on the right, when you turn off E. Main street to head out onto Rocky Neck. We will have to carry boats down over some granite. Low tide is at 5:51PM, which means there will be a small gravel beach to launch from, at the far end of the parking lot (farthest from E. Main Street). Bring the usual gear, good footwear, LOTS of lights, warm clothing, food or $ to buy food. Off the water after the fireworks which start at 10:00 PM. Liz N.
