Jim Snyder Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 We had a small but enthusiastic group of paddlers and ideal conditions for the first NSPN Surfski Workshop. Some had prior experience and owned their own skis, for others it was a first, even if they had some seakayaking experience. We started on the beach going over the equipment. Then on to stroke technique and mechanics. Next getting in, out, and back in again Then paddling out to the red nun Matt Drayer and his friend Andy Knight did a great job. We're fortunate to have the expertise and diversity that Matt brings to the club. If you missed this workshop, look for another late in August act or contact Matt directly for a one on one experience. Bob and I couldn't resist a post workshop trip up the Squamscott coast for some rock noodling... Quote
