PeterB Posted March 10, 2016 Share Posted March 10, 2016 I’m in the need of a paddle and fresh air , and I ‘ll be going to Friday kayak movie night at Newbury Kayak & Canoe @ 6PM , so I’m planning to launch 1:30 PM-ish from Parker River at Rte 1A in Newbury, by Newbury Kayak and Canoe , paddle out the Parker River to Plum Island Sound , probably turn north and meander about a bit , return to the put- in @ 5Pm. :Looking for quiet, relaxed not- intense outing. Total mileage probably less than 10NM . High is @ 1:06 PM, low tide is 7:25, so paddle out to Plum Island will be with the ebb , then against the current (not too strong) for @ 1.5 nm on the way back. Forecast is for NW winds , air temps in the 50's water temps. @ 40 degrees F (cold!) Drysuits are needed.
