bob budd
Guided or unguided this is a wonderful place to paddle. We had six days of light to moderate winds and temperatures at or above the 40s but not above mid 50s except perhaps in the short periods of full sun. We were guided by Borea Adventures but the bay is not a long crossing for an experienced paddler and once on the north side you can follow the land and explore the fjords as you reach them. There are frequent meadows to camp in (a sturdy and staked tent is needed for the highest winds) and ample water from the frequent waterfalls. The waterfowl and sea life are abundant. Local knowledge as always will provide the best plan for where to stay and also the implications of the tides.
