I was able to peel off the keel strip without much effort. Scraped most of the adhesive of with razor, and then was able to get the reminder of with WD40 and a rag. I appreciate the advice and suggestions.

Kayakers have been located and picked up by a good samaritan boater off Cat Island. Lucky ending to what could have been a very sad story.

Active search for an adult Female and two young kids (6 & 10) in a blue tandem kayak that left Grace Oliver's Beach, Marblehead (Behind Brown's Island ) more than two hours ago. Have not been seen. Last seen heading towards salem, around Peach's Point. Mhead, Salem and Beverly Harbormaster out searching now. Anyone out that might have seen them? If yes, please contact 911 with any information. Hi folks - Any suggestions for reapplying the keep strip where is coming off? It's mostly intact and good shape, but separating from the hull in several areas. Can this be saved? Suggestions for adhesive and process hold it in place, while drying? Thank you! Bill Whalen Marblehead

In reading the posting, my understanding is that, yes - Riverhead is currently closed to kayakers. I believe they are trying to limit beach traffic to Devereaux (other side of the causeway), and that ramp access is collateral damage. I've heard the public ramp at Little Harbor (next to Marblehead Lobster Co.) is open to kayakers. Cheers!

Hi there - I have an older CD Solstice and am thinking about trying to install a foam seat back. (I've tried a few options by modifying the stock seat and separately by swapping in a back band, but still not comfortable.) The seat itself is molded fiberglass, and decently comfortable. I'm thinking building out the seat back from the bulkhead? Any suggestion for designs that work well or vendor to purchase supplies would be helpful. Thank you!!! Bill (in Marblehead)
