If you are new to kayak navigation or want to review the basic skills of compass work and chart reading, join us for this interactive workshop. We will start indoors with an overview of these basic skills and hopefully have an opportunity to practice our skills outdoors, on land (weather permitting). Bring a nautical chart of Salem Sound/ Beverly and a hand compass. If you do not have these items, please contact us in advance and we may be able to provide you with what you need.
Beverly Farms Public Library, 24 Vine St (street parking only).
We will be in the Conrad Room. Please remember to pack your own lunch and beverage.
Weather permitting, a hands on exercise will be conducted at West Beach in Beverly Farms, so dress accordingly. No kayaks please.
