Saturday "Something" Paddle @ Fishermans Beach, SwampscottA "Something" is a flexible paddle designed for any and all club members with no prescribed skill level. Our only goal is to have fun together safely! We will determine the route, distance and activities to fit the interests, comfort level and appetite for challenge of folks who come. All you need is basic equipment in safe working condition. That means a sea kayak with full deck lines and bulkheads, spray skirt, dress for immersion. Please bring a helmet if you want to play in rocks or surf.
Please arrive at Fisherman’s Beach in Swampscott no later than 8:30 am for a 9 am launch. Parking is free so it does fill up quickly on a nice morning!
The "Forecast For Something" as we call it: light winds, lower humidity and air temps in the low 70s. It's far enough out that it could change, so monitor it on Windy (compare the ECMWF, GFS and NAM models) or NOAA. High 6:31 am, Low 12:33 pm—falling through most of the trip.
This paddle is now full BUT please add your name to the waitlist if you want to come—there are often cancellations! https://forms.gle/pUxNwaMmt6RZ8v6X7
I ask that you not RSVP or post a response here as I don't monitor this page, I only go by the form submissions. If the trip fills up the form will become a waitlist.
PM me if you have any questions!
