  1. LOWER PRICE: Asking $3,200 or best offer.

This Tiderace Xceed-S is a full carbon epoxy layup and at 17'9", and it weights in at just 48 lbs with hatch covers!  The seamless construction is slick and the full length keelstrip makes this design even stronger.  This kayak is just two years old and in great condition. The deck is nearly spotless; the hull shows some scratches and dings but nothing structural.

At nearly 18', the Xceed is a fast, sea worthy, yet highly maneuverable craft at home in dynamic water and ready for the long haul.  What makes it so fast and maneuverable? Hull design and cockpit ergonomics: TideRace kayaks have a unique cockpit design that makes them more comfortable and more efficient to paddle.  Like all TideRace brand kayaks, Xceeds are built extremely stiff and strong so they can take a lot of punishment.

  3. The Dolphin Cove Pod fared well on the return although the sea become pretty snotty (to use a favorite Downeast Expression) after we left the shelter of Jewell Island and we were in for a "squirrely" paddle to reach the marina. Thankfully, there were warm chowders and blueberry muffins waiting for us at the Dolphin!

This was a great weekend of kayak camping despite (or maybe because of) the moody weather. Jewell Island is apply named: the coast offers a beautiful paddle and the trails lead to wonderful and surprising sites (thank you Gary for being an invaluable guide). I'm not much of a birder but we were given the opportunity to see a few beautiful specimen.

And the company was truly fun to spend time together (old and new acquaintances alike).

Here is a link to a few photographs to add to an already great collection: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yh4Tvu55mwHifEsQA

Thank you Gary for spearheading this adventure!
