Biddeford Recreation Department is offering indoor pool sessions for rolling and rescues on Saturdays, March 10, 17, 24, 2018. Come join in this great learning environment and get your paddling skills tuned up or learn something new before the season arrives.
Location: Biddeford, Maine, indoor pool
Time: 2pm-4pm on Saturdays
All clean boats are welcome! Long or short.

"Dash to The Sea" will be held Saturday, September 16th on the Saco River in Biddeford/Saco Maine. It is a paddle race fund-raiser for the Biddeford Recreation Department and part of the River Jam Festival 2017 weekend!
Come paddle on great section of river and then enjoy a day of good food, beer, music and more.

Pool sessions offered by Biddeford Recreation Department(Biddeford, ME). Sessions are held indoors at the local YMCA pool. Rolling instruction will be the focus, open practice is permitted as well. All types of boats are welcome. Great clinic for beginners or the intermediate paddler looking to refine some skills.

Biddeford Recreation will again offer pool sessions at our local YMCA's pool. Learn to roll your boat with an instructor. All clean boats are welcome. Wet exits and reentrys will be taught as well. Kayak Rolling Clinics will be open to both Long and Short boats. Entry level/ novice paddlers are encouranged to come get some instruction on mechanics of rolling, those looking to hone in advanced rolls or get some pool time are also welcome. Improve confidence and skills with this clinic. You must register in advance.

Registered Maine Sea Kayak Guide Training
A Sea Kayaking Maine Guides License allows you to lead day and overnight trips related to sea kayaking in tidal waters in the State of Maine. Learn about Navigation, Lost Sea Kayaker Scenarios, Watercraft Laws, Trip Planning, Safety, Risk Management, LNT Camping, Rules and Regulations, Marine Wildlife, and much more. On water rescues, simulated emergencies and trip leader experiences are practiced. This course provides the required information to take the State administered written test and oral boards but does not guarantee passing.
Fee: $399.00 per person

Biddeford Recreation Department in Maine will host its annual Spring Pool Rolling and Rescues Sessions again this year. Come brush up your skills before the spring boating season arrives.
All 6 lanes will be available and showers/ locker rooms for use. All clean boat types are welcome to join, please preregister online to guarantee space.
