Overnight camping trip combined with MITA annual Casco Bay fall cleanup. Launch from Sandy Point on Cousins Island, Yarmouth, at 10am Saturday, Oct 6th. Return Sunday afternoon.
The distance is ~5nm to the islands, on mostly protected water, with a crossing of about 1nm. Please bring boat with watertight bulkheads, PFD and spray skirt, and come dressed for cold water. Also handy will be shoes, trash bags, possibly work gloves, brush clippers.
We will spend Saturday cleaning up the shorelines so trash can be collected by MITA skiffs in the afternoon. After that's done, it's a camping trip!
