North Shore Skills Sessions (5:30pm to dusk)

Bob Levine, Gillian and I are back this year with the North Shore Skills Sessions (formally the Forest River Park Sessions)! In order to take advantage of tides and conditions, we will alternate locations throughout the season (please see below for details). Also, in addition to practicing skills, we also run some L2 trips during these sessions so that we can learn on the go! Come on out to the only salt water based skills session!

Individual and group practice, peer instruction, group instruction.

We will try to be on the water at 5:45PM. Latecomers please feel free to join us.

For those new paddlers that show up (please do!), we will do some

shallow water basics first.

Location will be posted the night before on the message board. If necessary, cancellations will be announced on the general message

board.

Forest River-Parking at the site is for Salem residents only from 9-5pm and non-

residents would have to pay a fee. I've been advised by those in

charge of the Park that this is the case. I would suggest (actually those in charge of the Park suggested this that people ARRIVE at 5:30 and expect the butts in boat time to be 5:45pm.

We'll stay on the water until dark if so inclined.

Salem Willows: Parking is free. Drop gear off and then park. We have extra wheels for folks if need be. ARRIVE at 5:30 and expect the butts in boat time to be 5:45pm.
