All members are invited to this full-day classroom session, which provide an overview of recommended NSPN trip practices.
Experienced NSPN presenters will cover a range of topics,including:
an overview of the Common Adventure Model and how it applies to NSPN paddling trips; the Role of trip initiator , Beach briefings, trip planning resources., and on-the water practices, such as group paddling, trip (gear/equipment) essentials,incident management, (tows & rescues) etc.
This workshop will be held at the Parker River Visitors Center in Newburyport, 6 Plum Island Road, on the road from downtown Newburyport to Plum Island , across the street from Mass. Audubon Joppa Fats Visitor Center.
