Level 2 trip around the perimeter of
Marblehead, chart # 13275.
Put-in is at the Riverhead Beach/ Deveraux Beach-Take Route
128 to exit 25, Route 114 east to Marblehead. Take a right
on Ocean Ave at the Fire Station. Follow Ocean Ave to where
you can see the beach parking lot in front of you. As the
horizon opens on your right, Deveraux Beach will be dead
ahead and Riverhead will be on your left. Dirt parking lot
and Boat ramp
Trip distance is about 6-10 NM depending on weather and
average group speed. We plan to launch by 10:00 am and we
will try to be off the water by 4:00, leaving plenty of
time to get to the Potluck dinner following the paddle.
Group size is limited to eight participants. Any current
or past trip leaders wishing to join us are welcome as
well.
NSPN Level 2 trips require that you can perform a
controlled wet exit. If you have not done one yet, please
take advantage of the many skill sessions prior to this
