Harbor and head out to the Miseries, one of New England's storied offshore island
spots, via a half-mile crossing. Conditions permitting, it's an easy
taste of semi-open ocean for level 2 paddlers looking to move up. There's a cute cove between Great and Little Misery, complete
with the remains of an old wreck, a great place to play and practice. Beautiful hills and views beckon for lunch from both islands. If conditions are suitable, we can send a party around the outside of the islands for even
more open ocean experience. If conditions are generally tougher but still do-able, we will skip the crossing and stick to the mainland coast west from Manchester.
