Saturday Something Paddle: Fishermans Beach, Swampscott

Paddle is full—register for the waitlist below.

(I said this paddle series would be on Sundays. But this weekend, Saturday looks like the better weather. So Saturday it is, for now.)

This is a very flexible paddle designed for any and all club members! There is no prescribed skill level. The goal is to have fun together safely in an area that has much to offer paddlers. We will determine the route, distance and activities to fit the interests, comfort level and appetite for challenge of folks who come. All you need is basic equipment in safe working condition. That means a sea kayak with full deck lines and bulkheads, spray skirt, dress for immersion. Please bring a helmet if you want to play in rocks or surf.

Arrive at Fishermans Beach, Swampscott at 9:00 am for a 9:30 am launch. Fishermans Beach is located on Humphrey Street in "downtown" Swampscott. There is no fee for parking. Google maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wPgt3dTDntR8KBv27

The current forecast calls for mild and sunny conditions with a fairly calm sea state. Variable winds < 10 kt. Waves 1-2 feet. Air and water around 60 F. HW 7:57am, LW 1:58 pm.
