February 13, 201312 yr Yeay - thanks! I had seen this was being done by MITA the following evening, but was not able to make it and didn't realize it was also in Cambridge. Just got us tickets - does anyone want to join us and get there a little early for some drinks and pub fare?Cathy
February 15, 201312 yr To get a little kayak film fix two videos my brother sent me: http://youtu.be/b9a3lMKWIxo (If you only watch one this is the winner). Julie found this one: and the trailer is good but it doesn't do justice to the full video (it's worth spending $'s on)
February 15, 201312 yr It looks like I can only post two video's in a reply thus I am re-posting this one:Julie found this one: and the trailer is good but it doesn't do justice to the full video (it's worth spending $'s on)
February 15, 201312 yr I am going to jump in here and say that I am now such a fan of Steve Fisher's films... Jason is right, the trailer does not do the film justice... I made him watch it a couple of times and download another of his kayaking movies (also white water) called The Halo Effect, which takes place in Iceland and Norway.
February 16, 201312 yr That looks like the same stretch of river on which the British fisherman Jeremy Wade filmed, trying to land a giant Nile perch -- almost sure of it. What a killer river it looks to be, too! Ouch. BTW: thank goodness for the end of apartheid!
