PICS ... 3d Annual Cape Neddick to Ogunquit

Although I posted this as an L4 trip, it was barely an L3 venue on this day.

The first half of the day produced a gentle swell making rock play an activity for less skilled paddlers to venture into areas less friendly.

The overcast sky held temperature and humidity levels bearable but crisp photos difficult to produce. By 1:00 the blue sky emerged and increased as the afternoon progressed making surfing at Ogunquit Beach the best part of the trip for this paddler. 200+ yard rides into the river on 3 foot perfectly formed waves allowed plenty of practice for guiding your boat between surfers and the occasional swimmer playing in traffic. Jeff and I remained in the surf zone as the rest of the crew paddled to Perkins Cove for an ice cream break.

By 3:30 we all converged for a perfect leisurely summer return to the launch.

We were of the water ay 5:20.

Some of the photos don't even look real - the water looks amazing!! Once again an incredible opportunity missed. There seem to be more and more of those passing by. Maybe next time......

You missed a nice one but I'm sure we'll do it again before the end of the warm weather.
