Hi North Shore Paddlers,

I have formed a boathouse on the Merrimack River with boat rack space for kayak and racing kayak storage, and racing shell storage. I am trying to expand the boathouse and would greatly appreciate it if you could suggest what types of kayakers would be interested in having an indoor storage space to keep their racing and recreational kayaks plus have direct access to the Merrimack River for recreation or race practice. I assume some kayakers might be interested in a place to store and paddle from on a regular basis to practice, without needing to cartop. Too, there may be kayakers on the north shore that don't have storage space at their homes and would like to keep their kayaks indoors.

Just my assumptions.

I hope some members wold provide advice.

Also, Haverhill, MA is having an riverfest and would love to have paddlers participate in the river and display their kayaks and answer questions for the public on August 20th. I'm sure they would make space for you of any sort. Plus there are docks on the river behind the display area where you can do demos. It might be a great public service opportunity too. I'll have recreational and racing shells on display and possibly Lowell's Boat Shop will have a dory. If you are interested please contact Morgan Eames at smeames@comcast.net

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Best Regards,

Richard Jacques
